For viewers

Your first five minutes

You do not need a cheshyre.com login to begin playing through verified Twitch chat.

1

Scout

Use !look to see the global creature's level, health, visible gear, and active Court event.

2

Fight

Use !attack. Queen's Court resolves your d20-style roll, skills, level, health, and equipped gear.

3

Grow

Earn persistent progress through combat and Twitch support, then invest IP, collect loot, and upgrade your loadout.

Playing, revealing, and logging in are different

Chat commands can create your Court record without website OAuth. Reveal My Character is Twitch's revocable identity-sharing permission for the Extension. A cheshyre.com Twitch login and policy acceptance are only needed for website account features such as making your one permanent character choice.

Character, gear & progression

Everyone has a visible toon. What you earn changes both its power and its presence on stream.

Your one character choice

Until you choose, your equipped gear appears on the default 8-bit Court Wanderer. The website offers six Court appearances.

Once selected, your appearance is permanently locked. There is no reroll, update, or delete option.

Gear changes your sprite

Upper armor, lower armor, left weapon, and right weapon layers update automatically when equipped. Better rarities add more elaborate visuals and effects.

Normal encounters

Fight the shared threat

Twelve Wonderland creatures can stalk the global Court, ranging from level 5 to level 30.

01

Inspect

!look reveals the creature, level, exact HP, gear, and active Court event.

02

Roll

!attack resolves opposed d20-style checks using level, skills, rage, health, and gear.

03

Resolve

Chat posts a concise hit, miss, tie, cooldown, or defeat result while the OBS stage animates the action.

04

Share spoils

When the creature falls, XP and gold are split by contribution, with chances for IP, crates, and final-hit bonuses.

5 min

Successful-hit cooldown

A manual attack that damages the creature starts a five-minute cooldown. A miss or monster win does not consume it.

5 + 10

Health regeneration

Regeneration begins five minutes after combat, then restores 5 HP for each ten-minute interval.

A live boss changes !attack

When a boss battle is active in that channel, !attack routes to the boss as a strike. Join first with !boss and make sure you have stamina.

Channel adventures

Gather for a quest

Quests belong to the broadcaster's channel, so each community builds its own party.

1

Open

The first !quest opens one of five locations.

2

Gather

Other players use !quest during the usual 60-second recruitment window.

3

Venture

The party faces four trials drawn from levels, gear, and the six skills.

4

Return

Everyone earns XP, gold, and IP; stronger contributions and outcomes improve the rewards and crate chances.

No traditional losers: every participant receives positive rewards, while Narrow, Solid, Great, Heroic, and Mythic outcomes create better winners.

Channel cooldown: after a quest resolves, that channel normally waits ten minutes before opening another.

Boss precedence: quests pause while a live channel boss occupies the stage.

Phased channel raids

Challenge an enhanced boss

Boss fights are opt-in, asynchronous RPG battles that happen independently in each broadcaster's channel.

HourlyRandom opportunity

One scheduled chance in each enabled channel.

3 minutesSignup lobby

Join with !boss.

10 minutesLive battle

Late arrivals may still join.

Action economy

Stamina keeps the fight moving

You enter battle with 3 stamina and recover 1 point every 20 seconds. Combat skill levels 2, 4, 7, 9, and 10 each unlock another capacity slot, up to 8. Bank stamina instead of spending every point on strikes when you want a 2-point support action.

3 base · 8 maximum
1 stamina

!strike

Make a gear- and skill-scaled attack against the boss. !attack also strikes during an active boss fight.

1 stamina

!guard

Prepare for the next incoming blow, reducing its damage and influencing the boss's target choice.

2 stamina

!tank

Challenge the boss, take aggro on its next counter, and gain defense-scaled damage reduction.

2 stamina

!heal [@player]

Heal yourself by default, or target a living party member by Twitch login.

2 stamina

!rally

Make a Perception check and empower the living party with one or two stronger-attack stacks.

The boss fights back

The boss retaliates after enough party actions or a period of inactivity, rotates away from its previous target when another champion is available, and becomes more dangerous across three phases. !tank overrides that rotation, and larger parties can face multi-target attacks late in the fight.

Support becomes magic

Bits, subscriptions, gifts, streaks, raids, and follows can damage the boss and support the party. Identified supporters can be pulled into the fight automatically.

Defeat matters

A defeated champion cannot rejoin that boss. They return to the general world at 15 HP and can recover there.

Contribution is broad

Damage, healing, tanking, prevented damage, support magic, rallying, and activity all count. Escapes are rated by damage completion, a kill is Heroic, and a kill with at least 8 minutes left reaches Mythic. The final blow guarantees one bounded crate, while an idle join receives only Narrow participation credit.

Boss combat is asynchronous: players act whenever they have stamina; the boss responds after an action threshold or idle interval. It is not a strict one-player-at-a-time turn order.

Designed not to flood chat

Normal attacks and boss strikes get concise public results. Boss joins, status checks, and most support actions rely on the Extension and OBS stage; major lifecycle, phase, and outcome summaries can still reach the room. Queen's Court does not use whispers.

For broadcasters

Put the Court on your stream

The same compact, channel-specific overlay handles normal combat, quests, Twitch support, and phased bosses.

  1. 01

    Open Extension configuration

Install and activate Queen's Court, then open its broadcaster Config page from your Twitch Extension dashboard.

  2. 02

    Connect Twitch Channel

Use Connect Twitch Channel so chat commands, subscriptions, bits, channel points, and other supported events can reach your channel's Court.

  3. 03

    Copy the signed overlay URL

In Stream Overlay, choose Copy Overlay Link. This read-only URL is signed for your channel—treat it like a private stream key.

  4. 04

    Add one OBS Browser Source

Paste the URL into a Browser Source. Set width to 960, height to 540, and leave custom CSS blank. Position the compact stage where it complements your layout.

  5. 05

    Preview and place it

Use Open Preview in Config, then crop, scale, and position the Browser Source in OBS. The page background is transparent.

  6. 06

    Choose whether bosses may spawn

Allow hourly boss fights is per channel and off until you enable it. Turning it off also cancels a live lobby or battle in your channel.

One URL, every scene

Scene precedence is automatic

  1. 1

  2. 2
Channel questShows queued player names and levels outside the location.
  3. 3
Global threatReturns to the idle creature with name, level, and exact HP.
  4. +
Viewer & support actionsAnimate the player's equipped toon as interactions resolve.

No manual scene switching

The overlay chooses the active state. Bosses take precedence and the normal creature returns when channel activity ends.

Built to recover

State requests time out safely, polling resumes after Browser Source suspension, and one recovery loop prevents duplicate requests.

Resilient chat delivery

Extension Chat is preferred when Twitch allows it. A connected broadcaster authorization is the fallback; whispers are never required.

Database-conscious

Bosses use bounded snapshots and the existing overlay polling loop so active fights avoid unnecessary database churn.

Keep the overlay URL private

The signed URL is channel-scoped and read-only, but anyone holding it could view your live Court state. Never paste it into chat, Discord, screenshots, or public documentation.

When the rabbit hole misbehaves

Troubleshooting

Try the smallest relevant fix first.

Chat commands are not responding

Make sure the command is being sent in the broadcaster's own connected channel rather than a Shared Chat copy. The broadcaster should open Extension Config, confirm the channel is connected, and use Refresh Authorization if Twitch permissions show a warning.

!boss did not post a confirmation

That is intentional. Bare !boss joins an available lobby or battle, but personal boss details stay out of public chat. Open the Extension panel or watch the OBS stage to confirm your toon and party state.

I cannot attack right now

For normal combat, check your health and successful-hit cooldown with !stats. During a boss, join with !boss, wait for the battle to begin, and check the yellow stamina bar. A defeated boss participant cannot return to that same fight.

A quest will not open

A channel quest may already be recruiting, may be in its normal post-quest cooldown, or may be paused by a live boss. Use !quests for the public recruitment state and check the Extension/overlay for a boss.

Reveal My Character is still hidden

Choose Reveal My Character in the Extension and approve Twitch identity sharing. If it remains hidden, reopen the panel or revoke and re-grant the Extension identity permission in Twitch settings. This does not require sharing a password with Queen's Court.

The OBS stage looks old or stopped updating

After a new site release, refresh the Browser Source once so OBS loads the current overlay code. The current overlay then times out hung requests and recovers automatically after a source resume. If it still fails, confirm that the complete signed URL is unchanged.

Common questions

Before you ask the Queen

Do I need to authenticate on the website to appear on the leaderboard?

No. The public leaderboard can include players with Court progress whether or not they have authenticated on cheshyre.com. Website authentication is for personal account features.

Can I change my character later?

No. You can use the default Court Wanderer for as long as you like, but the first custom appearance you confirm is permanent. Gear can still be changed at any time.

Are bosses shared across every stream?

No. The normal Wonderland creature is global, but each quest and boss belongs to one broadcaster's channel. Another channel has its own party, schedule, and boss state.

Can I join a boss after the lobby?

Yes. Late joining remains available during the live battle while the boss is accepting champions. Once defeated, a player cannot rejoin that boss.

Does ordinary chat earn XP?

Ordinary chat lines are not currently an XP source. Playing the game and eligible Twitch support events drive progression; exact rates can be rebalanced over time.

Where do I equip gear and spend IP?

Use the Queen's Court Extension tabs: Character manages inventory and equipment, Train invests IP, and Shop uses gold. The website also exposes authenticated character features.
