1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Chris Heckler ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you visit or use Cheshyre.com, the Queen's Court Twitch Extension, and related account-linked community game features (the "Service").

By using the Service, signing in with Twitch, connecting Discord, or otherwise providing information to us, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information, depending on how you use the Service and what features you enable:

• Account and identity information, such as your Twitch user ID, Twitch login or display name and profile image; and, when you choose to connect Discord, your Discord user ID, username, global display name, and avatar reference.
• Contact information, such as your email address, if you choose to provide it to us or separately authorize it through a supported login flow.
• Gameplay and account data, such as character information, progression, currencies, inventories, reward history, settings, achievements, moderation history, and linked account preferences.
• Twitch Extension transaction and Spellbook records, such as Twitch's transaction ID; broadcaster and viewer Twitch IDs; viewer display name; product SKU and display name; Bits amount and currency; transaction time; development status; receipt expiration and cryptographic receipt hash; and the resulting inscription's kind, effect, start and end times, queued or consumed status, and associated encounter. We do not receive or store your payment-card details or Twitch Bits balance.
• Technical and device data, such as IP address, browser type, user agent, approximate region, device identifiers, language, session timestamps, referring pages, and diagnostic logs.
• Cookie, session, and local-storage data used to keep you signed in, remember settings, support security features, or improve site functionality. The Extension may temporarily retain a completed Twitch transaction receipt and retry status in your browser until the Queen's Court backend confirms fulfillment.
• Policy acceptance and audit records, such as timestamps, policy version numbers, IP addresses, and browser or device information connected to your acceptance of site terms.
• Communications and support records, such as messages you send to us, bug reports, contact requests, moderation appeals, or other submissions.

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from you, automatically through your browser or device, through your use of the Service, and from third-party providers that support the Service, such as Twitch, Discord, authentication, hosting, and infrastructure providers. Spellbook transaction evidence is received through the Twitch Extension and independently signed Twitch EventSub notifications. A receipt submitted by the viewer panel is re-read from Twitch before fulfillment.

4. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

• create and maintain your account, link gameplay data to your Twitch identity, and—when you opt in—attach that Court profile and broadcaster identity to your Discord account;
• provide, operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
• save progression, virtual inventories, account preferences, and related entertainment features;
• verify Twitch Extension transactions; fulfill, display, queue, consume, recover, and deduplicate Spellbook Inscriptions; apply their gameplay effects; and maintain an audit trail for troubleshooting, integrity, and disputes;
• record policy acceptance and maintain compliance, audit, and security logs;
• detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, abuse, cheating, unauthorized access, and other misuse;
• communicate with you about account issues, support requests, rule enforcement, service changes, or legal notices;
• comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and protect the rights, safety, and property of users, the community, and the Service; and
• administer separate promotions, giveaways, or events when accompanied by their own official rules.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, session tokens, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember settings, authenticate sessions, measure traffic, understand feature usage, and improve performance.

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect how the Service functions.

Do Not Track: Because there is not yet a universally accepted standard for browser-based Do Not Track signals, the Service does not currently respond to them unless and until a legally recognized standard requires otherwise.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including with:

• service providers that help us host, secure, maintain, analyze, or operate the Service;
• Twitch or other platform providers when needed to support login, verify Extension transactions, receive platform events, or operate other platform-integrated features;
• Discord when needed for an enabled live or event announcement. Discord receives presentation content, which may include a broadcaster identity and the channel's public active-spell names, counts or queued readiness, and end times. Discord does not receive or control the Spellbook entitlement, and a Discord badge or message is not the transaction ledger;
• professional advisers, insurers, auditors, or acquirers in connection with legitimate business operations;
• law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties when required by law, subpoena, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security; and
• other users or the public only when information is intentionally made visible through community-facing features, such as publicly displayed usernames, character names, levels, leaderboards, active channel spell state, or similar profile elements you choose to use.

7. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We do not knowingly sell the personal information of children under 16.

8. Data Retention

For Twitch website sign-in, we retain access and refresh tokens only on our servers to validate ongoing authorization and keep your session working. They are not placed in browser cookies or exposed through the Extension. A website session lasts up to 14 days; its tokens are cleared when you sign out, when we detect invalid or revoked authorization, or when the session expires (through scheduled cleanup or the next session check). Broadcaster connection tokens are also stored server-side and are cleared when the connection is disconnected or we detect revoked authorization.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, maintain progression and account history, meet security and compliance needs, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

Retention periods may vary by data type. For example, we may keep account and progression records while your account remains active, and we may keep transaction identifiers, inscription history, security logs, and acceptance records longer for duplicate prevention, fraud prevention, audit, disputes, and legal purposes. A completed receipt stored by the Extension in your browser is normally removed after backend confirmation; an unconfirmed receipt may remain there for retry or troubleshooting until it is fulfilled or you clear the browser's Extension storage.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Twitch and Discord Authorization, Unlinking, and Deletion

If you revoke Twitch authorization, unlink Discord, or request that a linked account be removed, some related Service features may stop functioning. Discord linking uses the identity permission only; the temporary OAuth token is not retained after we retrieve the approved identity. Unlinking Discord removes the active Discord-to-Court association while preserving the underlying Queen's Court character, progression, Twitch broadcaster connection, and any transaction or inscription records we must retain for fulfillment, duplicate prevention, security, disputes, or legal compliance.

We may delete or de-identify linked-account data, unlink an account, or retain only the records we reasonably need for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or other legitimate business purposes.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information we hold about you, or to request that we limit certain uses of your information.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We may deny or limit requests where permitted by law, including where we must retain information for security, legal compliance, or legitimate operational reasons.

12. California Privacy Information

If California privacy law applies to our business, California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, and receive information about certain data practices, and to appeal or limit certain uses as provided by applicable law.

California residents may also designate an authorized agent to make certain requests on their behalf, subject to verification requirements.

Shine the Light: If applicable, California residents may request certain information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes unless we expressly state otherwise.

13. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to investigate and address the issue.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party sites, tools, or services, including Twitch and Discord. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or content practices of third parties. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on the website and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after the revised policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated Policy.
